APOE Polymorphisms in Recurrent Pregnancy Loss

American Journal of Reproductive Immunology· 2010· 12 citations

A 200-patient case–control study evaluating whether APOE (E2, E3, E4) allele and genotype frequencies are associated with unexplained recurrent pregnancy loss in North Indian women.

This case–control study analyzed APOE genotypes (E2, E3, E4) in 200 well-characterized North Indian women with unexplained recurrent pregnancy loss and 200 matched fertile controls. APOE allele and genotype distributions did not differ significantly between groups. The study concludes that APOE polymorphisms do not contribute measurably to recurrent pregnancy loss in this population.
